This Blended Intensive Program brings together educators, researchers, and academic professionals from across Europe to explore the profound transformations that generative AI is bringing to higher education.
Organised by Bragança Polytechnic University in partnership with five European institutions, the programme combines six online sessions with a full in-person week in Bragança, Portugal, in July 2026.
Participants earn 3 ECTS credits and leave with shared frameworks, hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools, and a network of European peers.
The programme is organised by six European universities spanning Portugal, Sweden, Germany, France, Spain, and Kosovo.

Domestic Sevenair connects to Bragança from Viseu, Cascais and Portimão, with two daily flights.
International The nearest international airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (Porto). There are direct flights from Madrid to Porto (~1h 15min) operated by several airlines.
Once at Porto airport, take a bus to Bragança with Rede-Expressos or FlixBus. The journey takes approximately 2–3 hours.
Unfortunately, the Tua railway line has been deactivated and there is no direct rail connection to Bragança.
From Spain Take the high-speed train between Madrid and Zamora, then continue to Bragança by rental car or bus. Zamora is approximately 100 km from Bragança.
From Lisbon, Coimbra and Porto there are several connections via Rede-Expressos and FlixBus that stop in Bragança.
FlixBus and Rede-Expressos both offer a direct daily connection between Porto Airport and Bragança.

From Porto Take the A4 motorway, which runs directly from Porto to Bragança. The trip takes about 2h.
From Madrid The drive is approximately 360 km with an estimated travel time of 4 hours. The main route is via the A-6 motorway.

Social Programme
The in-person week includes a dedicated social afternoon on Wednesday 15 July. Participants will enjoy a scenic cruise along the Douro River, departing from Régua and sailing upstream to Pinhão, passing through one of Portugal's most breathtaking wine-producing landscapes — the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
