What is this BIP?

A European programme
for the AI era

This Blended Intensive Program brings together educators, researchers, and academic professionals from across Europe to explore the profound transformations that generative AI is bringing to higher education.

Organised by Bragança Polytechnic University in partnership with five European institutions, the programme combines six online sessions with a full in-person week in Bragança, Portugal, in July 2026.

Participants earn 3 ECTS credits and leave with shared frameworks, hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools, and a network of European peers.

Teaching Research Governance
Programme Goals

What we aim to achieve

  • 1 Share knowledge and experiences about generative AI across European higher education institutions.
  • 2 Reflect on and debate how teaching, research, and governance must evolve in light of this new reality.
  • 3 Assess collectively what institutions can and should do in response to generative AI.
  • 4 Learn how to make the best and most responsible use of generative AI tools in academic settings.
